Forty years of grift in global commodity markets — Marc Rich's sanctions-busting trades, Trump-era tariff arbitrage, Polymarket insider runs — all share one root cause: nobody can prove what physically exists. The verification gap is the liquidity tax. We close it.

EcoVent Africa builds VPAY Genesis: the only tokenized-gold infrastructure where the smart contract refuses to mint without a sealed hardware reading of the physical metal. XRF spectroscopy, mass measurement, GPS, hardware-secure-element signature — all written directly to Polygon Mainnet.

The principle is one line: no verification, no token. 10 smart contracts live on Polygon Mainnet, admined by a Gnosis Safe (currently 2-of-2 with 2-of-3 migration in progress). The system is aligned with the Bank of Ghana's GANRAP reserve programme, Article 114 of the Constitution of Ghana, and its enabling statute — the Ghana Gold Board Act, 2025 (Act 1140).

Three covenants

VPAY Genesis stands on three cryptographic covenants — Sika di adanseɛ · Adwene di adanseɛ · Adanseni di adanseɛ. The gold bears witness. The mind bears witness. The witness bears witness.

Matter attested + mind attested + witness kept = the network has the standing to call something sovereign. $SOV is what comes out the other side — minted by the formula SOV = (g × XAU/USD) ÷ 1,000, value tracks the gold price. Live on Polygon Mainnet at 0x5833...0eC0.

Heritage

The first attestation we know of in human history is Sika Dwa Kofi — the Golden Stool of the Asante kingdom, said to have descended from the sky in 1701 carrying the soul of the nation. It was not a symbol of wealth. It was the bind: physical gold, sovereign legitimacy, and the people's covenant, made into one object.

VPAY Genesis is the contemporary form of that bind. The Asante engineering tradition — XRF assay rooms in Obuasi, the Royal Goldsmiths' guild, three centuries of metallurgical rigor — is not the inspiration. It's the lineage. Built in Accra, by Ghanaians, for the global gold supply chain.

Founded EcoVent Africa to build the Sovereign Truth Layer the global gold supply chain has needed since the 1980s. Architects the GSU hardware spec, the Ananse intelligence layer, the Polygon contract stack, GenesisOS — the institutional operations terminal — and the partnerships across Bank of Ghana, PMMC, and the Manhyia royal apparatus.

Holds the operational keys, signs the contracts, sits in the Accra office, and writes every line of strategy. The work is dual: verifiable on-chain to anyone with a wallet, anchored in the Asante engineering tradition for those who care where it came from.
